James Cameron’s Avatar: way of the water has a very interesting Story line. Many of you may be familiar with the first Avatar movie released in 2009, but after so many years, you may need a refresher.

Once human, Jake Sully voiced by Sam Worthington, gives up everything he knows to become part of an Avatar programme that penetrates the Na’vi people’s world…. Falling in love with a Neytiri, a Na’vi warrior, Sully chooses a life with her and her people in Pandora.

Way of the water, opens with a Song, sung by Jake’s wife. The melody is one that is soothing and calming. Although we cannot understand what is being sung, we know it is a song of her people….it tells a Story of family….

Family is a very important theme in this movie. The motto that they live by is “Always stick together” However they were put to the test…. Their ability to adapt and their resilience to survive were seen throughout the movie.

Jake’s youngest son, who is considered a trouble maker, is only “seen” by his Father after tragedy strikes the family. The family bond grew even stronger in spite of all that threaten their existence.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give Avatar : The Way of Water, a 9 out of 10.
Action was very much present throughout the movie. There were scenes of battle that heightened my interest. This had me at the edge if my seat wanting to see more and anticipating the end. I would give this genre a 2.5 out of 3
Fantasy is also very much evident in the movie. There were elements such as sea creatures that were out of this world. The entire film is based on a people who were not humans. This aspect of Fantasy beings a different life to the movie. I would give it a 3 out of 3.

Adventure is all too common in this movie. Jake’s children brought to life the adventure in the movie. The quest for a better life for him and His family saw Jake embarking on a new journey that was overshadowed by obstacles. This brought the adventure aspect to life in the movie. I would rate this a 3.5 out of 4

A father’s desire to look after his own is something that should not be taken for granted. Jake exemplifies the true meaning of a protector. Avatar: The Way of the Water is an awesome film that captures every aspect of love , dedication and commitment to one another in the bond of family. If you haven’t seen Avatar: The Way of the Water yet then hurry! You don’t want to miss your opportunity to catch this film on Big screen. A must watch for everyone.
